Job Description:
As the Site Manager, you will report directly to the National Construction Manager and be responsible for driving the success of projects on-site. Your primary role will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise subcontractors, and actively work towards achieving project milestones and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the project schedule to ensure milestone dates are achieved.
Drive project cost, safety, and timeline goals through meticulous preparation and task execution in line with company and legislative requirements.
Write detailed programs, anticipating the next 6 weeks of project activities to guarantee on-time project completion.
Take charge of day-to-day decision-making regarding program logic and on-site operations.
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment for employees and contractors.
Collaborate with project consultants to ensure design intentions are effectively implemented.
Oversee the overall delivery of the project, ensuring quality, costs, schedules, and safety standards are met.
Supervise site activities and subcontractors to uphold high performance standards.
Report substandard workmanship promptly to allow for corrective actions.
Maintain daily communication with the Contract Administrator to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
Ensure all work meets quality control parameters and statutory requirements.
Foster continuous improvement in quality, OH&S, and environmental standards.
Skills & Knowledge:
Proven experience in Site Management within the construction industry.
Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and drive results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members, clients, and contractors.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining high-quality finishes.
A "Can do" attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
