About the role

The Principal Building Surveyor is responsible for delivering quality Development and Building Certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public. They will accurately and thoroughly assess Development Applications and perform all functions of a Registered Certifier and carry out critical stage inspections of building works for all classes of buildings. The role will also promote Council's role as a Principal Certifier and provide mentorship to the Building Surveyors within the section.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current registration as a Building Surveyor (unrestricted) under the Building & Development Certifiers Act
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence

Salary for this position ranges from $99K to $119K + Market Loading available up to $9K plus 11.5% superannuation

This is a Permanent full-time role with the ability to access a 9 day fortnight and hybrid working conditions located at the Wyong Administration Building.

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use, with options available in accordance with Council's Vehicle Policy.
