About The Role

The Principal Building Surveyor is responsible for delivering quality Development and Building Certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public. They will accurately and thoroughly assess Development Applications and perform all functions of a Registered Certifier and carry out critical stage inspections of building works for all classes of buildings. The role will also promote Council's role as a Principal Certifier and provide mentorship to the Building Surveyors within the section.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • A Degree qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current registration as a Building Surveyor (unrestricted) under the Building & Development Certifiers Act or willing to obtain
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence
Other Important Information
  • The commencing salary for this position is up to $99K. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $128K on completion of assessment of skills and performance 11.5% superannuation
  • We have a permanent full-time role available
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight/19 day month
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
