Principal - WA Capacity Investment and Assessment

We are seeking a skilled Principal to join our Western Australia & Strategy Division, leading the Capacity Investment and Assessment (CIA) team in supporting the energy transition.
About the RoleThe WA CIA team operates the Reserve Capacity Mechanism (RCM), ensuring sufficient energy producing systems and demand side management capacity is available to support reliable electricity supply in the WA grid.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake analysis to support WEM functions and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Lead the identification and analysis of changes to the WEM and other legislative instruments.
- Provide input into projects contributing to complex market reviews and drive implementation of solutions.
- Support AEMO's involvement in government policies and initiatives regarding WEM regulatory matters.
Tertiary qualifications in an analytical discipline or similar. Relevant experience in the Energy sector, preferably with a knowledge of the WEM. Strong understanding of the political and regulatory framework governing the energy industry.
