**About the opportunity**:
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor, you will advise and support our businesses to achieve corporate environmental goals and to ensure statutory requirements are met, risks are minimised and innovative management strategies developed. In addition you will:
- Complete monitoring and reporting requirements for operational assets.
- Support the maintenance of environmental management systems.
- Provide input into planning and implementation of environmental strategies that align with business objectives and growth projects.
- Monitor and communicate changes to relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practices to assess business readiness and system capabilities and implement strategies to address.
- Participate in risk assessments, provide support and guidance to site personnel, support permitting requirements.
- Demonstrate positive safety culture through work conduct and active participation in safety activities.
- Promote company values and engaging with other team members to contribute to a positive environment.
**About you**:
You will be able to work autonomously with limited guidance while being a valuable team player. In addition you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Carbon and Energy Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated a high level of organisation and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of environmental and related legislation.
- Previous experience work on operational facilities.
