Job Title: Cloud Optimization Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled cloud optimization specialist to focus on user-facing initiatives across research data and shared storage programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support for research data management and shared storage initiatives, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources.
Drive end-user optimization across cloud drives (OneDrive, SharePoint, AWS FSx, Azure), reducing inefficiencies and improving productivity.
Tackle data hygiene issues such as uncontrolled provisioning, maintaining data quality and integrity.
Deliver training and engagement sessions to support adoption of strategies, promoting best practices and standards.
Maintain clear documentation and templates to guide technical teams, streamlining processes and reducing errors.
Contribute to sustainable citizen cleanout programs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Requirements:
Strong background in cloud engineering with an end-user focus, driving innovation and excellence.
Familiarity with cloud drive management and optimization, including data lifecycle practices in enterprise environments.
Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement, building trust and rapport.
Ability to bridge technical solutions with user adoption needs, delivering value and results.
