Job Title: Cloud Optimization Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled cloud optimization specialist to focus on user-facing initiatives across research data and shared storage programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for research data management and shared storage initiatives, ensuring efficient use of cloud resources.
  • Drive end-user optimization across cloud drives (OneDrive, SharePoint, AWS FSx, Azure), reducing inefficiencies and improving productivity.
  • Tackle data hygiene issues such as uncontrolled provisioning, maintaining data quality and integrity.
  • Deliver training and engagement sessions to support adoption of strategies, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Maintain clear documentation and templates to guide technical teams, streamlining processes and reducing errors.
  • Contribute to sustainable citizen cleanout programs, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in cloud engineering with an end-user focus, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Familiarity with cloud drive management and optimization, including data lifecycle practices in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and stakeholder engagement, building trust and rapport.
  • Ability to bridge technical solutions with user adoption needs, delivering value and results.
