Cloud Optimization Specialist

As a key member of our Engineering Excellence department, the Cloud Optimization Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring cost efficiency across our organization. This includes educating teams about their costs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and taking direct action to optimize resource usage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to rate optimization activities by managing cloud vendor contracts
  • Develop training programs for engineers to understand their costs
  • Create reports and dashboards to bring visibility to costs and opportunities
  • Design data models to identify opportunities for optimization
  • Stay up-to-date on cloud engineering knowledge to inform decisions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or data analyst
  • A background in financial operations
  • Demonstrative skills in SQL and Python programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud engineering
  • Technical experience with AWS
  • Knowledge of data visualization practices
