QA Tester - MPS

The Company

Sigma Bravo, a KBR Company, is a leader in Defence Mission Planning System development and integration. Sigma Bravo uniquely couple's aviation mission planning environments, operational and engineering support, training, agile software development, and systems implementation, enhancing current Defence capabilities while designing the future military Mission Planning Environments.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Software Tester to join the team for the development of secure government systems in support of Defence.

The Role

**As a Software Tester your responsibilities will include**:
Development and execution of test procedures

Contributing to all agile software development sprint events

Contributing to the test strategy and process

Reporting of defects and testing of defect resolutions

Development of automated tests

Focusing on the quality of the resulting product, by ensuring all company quality processes have been complied with.

Due to the nature of Sigma Bravo's work, all applicants must have the ability to obtain a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (usually only granted to Australian Citizens).

To be successful in this role you will need the following essential skills/experience:
Engineering and/or IT qualifications

3 years of experience in a similar role

Experience producing technical documentation

Experience working as part of an agile team

Experience setting up test environments and performing test execution

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to technical and non-technical personnel

Strong analytical skills with a methodical team focused approach

[Desired] Experience working in a software development environment using the Microsoft software development & test product stack

[Desired] Certification as Software Tester (ISTQB)

[Desired] Basic knowledge or experience writing SQL queries

[Desired] Experience working to military software testing/documentation standards
