**About the opportunity**

C&K Thornlands is a unique centre that caters for up to 131 children across seven learning spaces. Our Centre is now looking for an Trainee Assistant who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years to work in the Toddler room on a fixed term part-time basis 37.5 hours per week. We are looking for an educator who can be flexible, and work shifts between the hours of 6:30am - 6.30pm on a rotating rosters.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Share all duties involved in the care and education of the children with other educators
- Actively participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
- Prepare materials and activities as required
- Contribute to, and actively assist in the delivery of the program planned
- Build meaningful relationships and interactions with children
- Contribute to each child's C&K learning portfolio
- Must be willing to complete studies towards your qualification to successfully complete within the timeframe
- Prior experience within early childhood education would be an advantage
- Ability to commit to and complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care through the C&K College
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- **Applicants who already hold an Early Childhood Qualification will not be able to be considered for a traineeship**

**About C&K College**

C&K College of Early Childhood is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering training to early childhood educators and carers since 1998. Via this traineeship pathway, our aim is to deliver quality education and training by providing work-based mentoring, tailor-made tutorial sessions delivered by experienced trainers and assessors and access to development resources and C&K policies and procedures.
