**Assistant Educator - C&K Newmarket Community Childcare Centre**

**About the opportunity**

C&K Newmarket is a unique centre that caters for up to 55 children across 4 learning spaces. Our Centre is now looking for an Assistant Educator who is passionate about working alongside children in their early years to work in the Pre-Kindy room 5 days a week. When joining our Centre, you will contribute to a team that values open communication and sees children as competent and capable learners.

You will be working on a permanent full-time role, 40 hours per week. We are looking for an educator who can be flexible, and work shifts between the hours of 6:30am - 6pm on rotating rosters.

**Ideal applicants will have**:

- Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and care or Higher
- Current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
- Previous experience in a childcare setting working in the toddler (15 months
- 2 years) age group desirable
- An understanding of your duties as an Assistant educator and be a team player
- Passion for creating and delivering a simulating learning environment
- An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
- Awareness of the National Quality Framework
- Skilled with documenting observations of children's behaviour and development, in the form of learning stories.
- An ability to implement a planned program, in collaboration with the room leader ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
