At C&K Ascot Community Extended Kindergarten the children play in a carefully planned environment that caters for the needs, interests and abilities of each child. The outdoor area allows the children to enjoy activities and challenges in a well-shaded playground. The Centre has an extensive range of resources for indoor and outdoor play.

The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of the extended kindergarten program at C&K Ascot Community Kindergarten

This position is part-time, working Monday to Friday from 1:35pm to 6pm during school terms (min 21.25/week), with additional hours during school holidays

**Ideal applicants will have**:

- Certificate III of Children's Services and / or willingness to be complete a Diploma of Children's Services (via the C&K College) through a workplace apprenticeship. Future Tracks students are encouraged to apply.
- Hold and / or actively studying towards a Diploma of Children Services (desirable)
- 2 years of early childhood education and care sector experience (desirable)
- Current Paid Blue Card and First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Strong communication skills and be a genuine team player
- Ability to establish and maintain respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Ability to support the implementation of a quality play-based kindergarten curriculum in line with the Early Years Learning Framework, the National Quality Standard and willingness to learn and implement the C&K Curriculum Approach: Listening and Learning Together
- Knowledge of and commitment to children's safety and wellbeing

The Childcare and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) is a not-for-profit early childhood provider with nearly 350 early childhood education and care centres located across Queensland. C&K acknowledges that each child and family have unique early education and care requirements and so we provide a range of different programs including childcare, kindergarten, outside school hours' care and integrated services.

All C&K employees are required to undergo background checks which includes police checks.
