What you'll do

The Platform Control team ensure that Sky broadcast content is robustly delivered to our customers and any 'Watch TV' issues that arise are consistently triaged, logged and resolved in a timely manner.

You will look to continually evolve operations through continual improvement and seek out smarter and more efficient ways the team perform their role.

You will work closely with your team to ensure they have the available tools, identify areas that cause the team unnecessary frustration and increased workload then seek solutions for these.

Hold responsibility for ensuring your team have been trained to the best level by having a robust training plan in place which is measurable, consistent, and gives a clear training journey which begins on a controller first day in the department. This training needs to take into account the constantly evolving platforms that the team support.

You will be responsible for developing the Platform Controllers in your team, so they can be promoted through the grading structure by having regular 121 meetings where you lay down SMART targets for them to achieve. You'll consistently call out excellent performance and make full use of the Sky Stars initiative. If controllers are underperforming, you will identify the cause and put steps in place to bring them back up to standard.

You will lead, plan and deliver departmental strategy that supports the ever-evolving Platforms which Platform Control provide support for.
