Fantastic opportunity for a Graphical Statistical Analyst to join a large Federal Government agency on a part time engagement (20 hours per week).
- Initial 6 months contract with 6 months possible extension.
- Canberra based or work remotely.
- Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to get Security Clearance

**Key responsibilities and experience for the role includes, but is not limited to**:

- Statistical and graphical data analysis to support the description of the clean energy workforce, transitions into and out of this workforce and visualising outputs from economic scenario modelling.
- Upskilling team members in the statistical programming language R.
- Identifying and gathering relevant and quality data sources to answer research questions in relation to the project through exploratory data analysis.
- Integrating and transforming disparate data sources and determining the appropriate data hygiene techniques to apply.
- Through prototyping, continuously refine visualisations based on feedback from executive level staff.
- Ensuring the continuity of accuracy and functionality of visualisations.
- Working with big data sets from a range of structured and unstructured sources to draw insights and develop visualisations.
- Maintaining a high level of record keeping and data management across a range of IT systems.

- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work with a wide range of people to achieve organisational goals.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail in producing policy and/or data products.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency using the statistical programming language R, the programming language SQL, and the use of Excel to conduct analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working with big data sets from a range of structured and unstructured sources to draw insights and develop visualisations.
- Experience supervising and developing staff
- Ability to build the technical capability and knowledge of other staff members.
- Proven ability to interrogate modelling inputs and outputs and prepare analysis and advice.
