Implementation Lead

**About us**

The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

**About the role**

The Implementation Lead (Renting Reforms) role leads, coordinates and project-manages a program of co-ordinated activities across CAV to implement recent renting and residential parks which passed the Victorian Parliament.

When large legislative reform packages are enacted, CAV undertakes a range of activities to ensure it is ready to administer and enforce the new laws at commencement.

These include liaising with internal policy stakeholders responsible for drafting required regulations and prescribed or approved documents and forms; updating website information; updating handling advice to support staff providing information and advice to the community; developing new compliance strategies and supporting operational materials; developing new licensing or registration processes; online transaction system changes; external communications for stakeholders and the community; and internal communications and training.

These activities are undertaken by relevant branches and teams across DGS and CAV but must be monitored and coordinated to ensure they are delivered at the right time and consistently.

The role reports directly to the Executive Director, Regulatory Services & Director, CAV as part of the wider Office of the Executive Director team.

**About you**

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrated experience in the effective management and delivery of projects or programs of activity, including undertaking planning, governance support, monitoring, reporting and delivery.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across diverse backgrounds including government, local community and industry sectors.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with colleagues and work collaboratively with others towards positive outcomes
- Understanding of legislative regulatory reform and the key issues impacting the management and delivery of regulatory functions and services, sound judgement and good decision-making.
- A commitment to the VPS values and CAV objectives, including to consciously build Aboriginal cultural awareness, competency and safety and accessible and inclusive services for all.

**Mandatory requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
