Based in Midland, Directions Workforce Solutions Incorporated, a registered charity, is looking to recruit a proactive individual to join a small but busy team.

**About the role**

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy environment. Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator, 65% of your work will be in payroll and related activities. The remaining time will be performing finance/admin related activities.

Below are some of the key activities you will be required to undertake:

- Processing timesheets by exception, by ensuring the system's award interpreter has correctly applied these rules
- Complete set up and ongoing changes to employee details regarding payroll such as increase in salary and other employee pay entitlements
- Liaise with managers and host companies to ensure resolution and timely processing of pay related matters
- Resolve and assist employees with pay queries
- Processing of government incentives
- Issue invoices and accounts receivable

**To be successful in this role you will possess**
- a minimum 3 years' experience in payroll, dealing with multiple awards within a complex organisational structure, group training organisation or labour hire
- must have great attention to detail as we run a "clean" payrun with close to zero error rate
- experience in processing a high volume of online timesheets in two-and a half days
- experience in Workforce One (payroll system) would be advantageous
- significant experience dealing with multiple modern awards including Building and Construction General On-site Award, Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award and Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award
- must have a pleasant demeanour when dealing with clients and employees
- demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- skills in using Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Australian citizenship, Permanent Resident or relevant right to work visa
- Previous experience with accounts receivable or in a finance related role
