Exciting opportunity for a Strategic Communications & Community Relations Manager to lead a high performing team in this government organisation.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic communications and community engagement plan internally and externally.

**Key responsibilities include but aren't limited to**:

- Provide expert advice to senior leadership relating to communications strategy, crisis management and community engagement.
- Lead a high performing communications team responsible for all corporate communications, branding, media, stakeholder and community engagement.
- Support and guide change management initiatives across the organisation.
- Undertake management and communications strategies to ensure efficient processes and agreed policies and procedures are met.
- Develop and maintain external relationships and media with key stakeholders including relevant external agencies.
- Analysis and formulation of proactive communications and advice regarding reputational risk and opportunities.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or other related field with experience in a government environment highly desired.
- Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability of risk, people and financial management concepts.
- Strong ability to influence and work alongside a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage stakeholders, building positive relationships internally and externally.
