**An exciting opportunity has opened at Chroma Dermatology. We are seeking a medical receptionist (bonus points if you're multilingual) with a genuine passion for customer service, patient care and thrives in a busy environment**

As the first point of contact for our dermatology and cosmetic practice you will naturally make patients feel welcome with your friendly, confident, and sympathetic demeanour. You are someone who enjoys working in a team environment but strives independently when challenged during a busy consulting session.

The applicant must have excellent presentation and communication skills, enjoy process driven systems, be great at multitasking and working in an often-busy environment.

**Pre-requisite**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in medical administration. (or a deep desire and passion to work in Medical Reception)

**Contract**: Permanent Part Time - 4 days per week - with potential to develop to full time if desired.

**Location**:Based in Mulgrave with monthly shifts in Doncaster

**Start Date**: Immediate start available

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting patients, ensuring they feel welcome and prioritised at all times.
- Preparing for consulting sessions ensuring all rooms stocked and necessary items available for the coming days consulting.
- Attending to a high volume of incoming calls and patient enquiries
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
- Registering new patients and processing of data into medical software
- Checking referral validity and chasing up missing referrals and results
- Processing patient accounts and claims from Medicare and DVA
- Maintaining patient files ensuring all documents are filed accordingly
- Maintaining patient confidentiality with the utmost discretion when dealing with patients and colleagues.

**Administrative Tasks**:

- Scanning and linking medical records
- Printing and distributing letters to medical professionals.
- Printing patient medical certificates, results and prescriptions.

Prior experience in medical reception work is essential and knowledge of Genie software favourable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 38 per week
