To support the exciting growth of our Allied Health and Clinical Services team, we have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist, passionate about community age care, to provide services to our Rockhampton customers.
The role
Reporting to a Team Leader – Allied Health Care, you will:
Manage a wide variety of customer presentations across aged care funding areas, including Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and Short-Term Restorative Care
Support customers in achieving their goals related to daily living, mobility, and community participation
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored therapy plans
Assist with the provision of simple and complex equipment prescription, and major and minor home modifications
Collaborate with clients, families, carers, GP's and other professionals to ensure holistic care
Stay updated with best practices through ongoing professional development
The role is available as a permanent full-time or part-time position (Monday to Friday). There is flexibility with fortnightly hours, and we invite you to outline your preference in your cover letter.
Our team enjoy meeting customers in their home to provide OT services and also the flexibility and autonomy to complete administrative tasks either at home or at a Suncare office.
What you will bring to our team
A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
Significant practical experience or extensive knowledge in providing OT Services, preferably in a Rehabilitation and/or Aged Care setting
Effective interpersonal, communication, organisation and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
A great attitude, willingness to learn new things, and most importantly the ability and desire to listen to customers and understand their needs, wants and goals
First Aid and CPR certificate
A valid driver's licence and willingness to use your own insured vehicle for work purposes
