Are you a highly skilled Civil Designer with a passion for delivering precision, mentoring teams, and shaping the future of infrastructure?
We're seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead major civil and mining infrastructure projects nationwide, contributing to an innovative, collaborative, and quality-driven team.What You'll Be DoingCoordinate engineering and drafting design documentation across multi-disciplinary teamsLead 2D and 3D CAD design work for civil and mining infrastructure projectsPrepare detailed engineering drawings—from concept through to as-constructed documentationPerform scaling, dimensioning, and layout work using standard proceduresConduct 3D modelling and quantitative analysis with accuracy and efficiencyOversee and quality-check drafting deliverables from early career team membersGuide and mentor junior designers while contributing to a national, high-performing teamCollaborate with internal teams and clients, supporting project feasibility, design, and constructionDrive continuous improvement by enhancing workflows and CAD standardsContribute to proposals and budgeting for new projectsTake a lead design role on select civil or multi-discipline projectsAbout YouDiploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)10+ years of experience in civil or mining infrastructure design (mining experience is a plus, not a must)Strong technical expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential); familiarity with MicroStation (desirable)Proven experience preparing earthworks and infrastructure designs, including dams, levees, pipelines, and hardstandsSkilled in processing survey data and technical documentationComfortable leading, collaborating, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholdersPassionate about mentoring, innovation, and pushing boundaries in CAD excellenceAble to work independently and lead delivery within a national team settingYou're Someone WhoBalances technical excellence with quality, cost, and project timelinesStays cool under pressure while managing yourself and othersIs future-minded and focused on continuous improvementValues a "best-for-project" mindset and embraces flexibility in your workJoin us in shaping resilient, sustainable civil infrastructure that leaves a legacy.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Our global team includes more than 69,000 employees, working together to make a difference in communities both close to home and around the world.An employee Share Purchase Plan is available to all our permanent employees who wish to become owners and vested partners in WSP's collective success.To find out more about our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our people, and the programs we've designed to help you thrive, go to our Employee Benefits page.With us, you can.
