Senior Cad Civil Designer

Are you a highly skilled Civil Designer with a passion for delivering precision, mentoring teams, and shaping the future of infrastructure? We're seeking a Senior Civil Designer to lead major civil and mining infrastructure projects nationwide, contributing to an innovative, collaborative, and quality-driven team.
What You'll Be Doing * Coordinate engineering and drafting design documentation across multi-disciplinary teams * Lead 2 D and 3 D CAD design work for civil and mining infrastructure projects * Prepare detailed engineering drawings—from concept through to as-constructed documentation * Perform scaling, dimensioning, and layout work using standard procedures * Conduct 3 D modelling and quantitative analysis with accuracy and efficiency * Oversee and quality-check drafting deliverables from early career team members * Guide and mentor junior designers while contributing to a national, high-performing team * Collaborate with internal teams and clients, supporting project feasibility, design, and construction * Drive continuous improvement by enhancing workflows and CAD standards * Contribute to proposals and budgeting for new projects * Take a lead design role on select civil or multi-discipline projects About You * Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) * 10+ years of experience in civil or mining infrastructure design (mining experience is a plus, not a must) * Strong technical expertise in Auto CAD and Civil 3 D (essential); familiarity with Micro Station (desirable) * Proven experience preparing earthworks and infrastructure designs, including dams, levees, pipelines, and hardstands * Skilled in processing survey data and technical documentation * Comfortable leading, collaborating, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders * Passionate about mentoring, innovation, and pushing boundaries in CAD excellence * Able to work independently and lead delivery within a national team setting You're Someone Who * Balances technical excellence with quality, cost, and project timelines * Stays cool under pressure while managing yourself and others * Is future-minded and focused on continuous improvement * Values a "best-for-project" mindset and embraces flexibility in your work Join us in shaping resilient, sustainable civil infrastructure that leaves a legacy.
