The Role:
We currently have a vacancy for an
Asphalt
Laboratory Technician
to join the team at KEE Surfacing on a
full-time
basis with
away work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager your responsibilities will include:
Perform routine sampling and testing of asphalt, PMB, emulsion, aggregate, bitumen and other raw materials to recognised standards in our NATA laboratory.
Document test results and calibration data in compliance with NATA standards.
The handling and management of chemicals in line with relevant standards.
Conduct procedures safely and ensure all equipment is kept in good condition for testing.
Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this position you will require the following skills/experience:
Have an understanding of asphalt/cement of quarries industries.
Current and valid Driver's Licence.
Willing to travel (away work is required).
Have demonstrated knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines.
Professional communication, written and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (advantageous).

Full time position – minimum 80 hours per fortnight with available overtime
