**About the Role**

Reporting directly to the Branch Service Manager, the incumbent is responsible for managing and leading the operational activities of the Field Service Team. You will ensure that the team is meeting relevant KPIs, working to TMHA standards and addressing customer needs in a safe, efficient and effective manner throughout the field.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the management, direction and leadership of the Field Service Technicians and Field Service Controller within your team.
- Manage and ensure the booking, scheduling, allocating services and maintenance in the field is done in a professional manner and in accordance with the requirements of the relevant Australian Standards and company policies.
- Along with the team leader, provide support and guidance for complex job orders
- Plan, coordinate and manage training for the Field Service Team
- Monitor and control costs for rental equipment within the allocated budgets
- Support other Field Service Managers as a backup when required
- Ensure that Field Service activities meet company safety standards and comply with applicable laws, regulations and standards.
- Manage and approve timesheets within the time and attendance system for your team

**Skills and experience**:

- Trade Qualification - Heavy Plant, Motor Mechanic, auto electrics or similar/relevant
- Extensive experience as a technician in the Material Handling Industry or similar/relevant industry
- Experience in mentoring and guiding teams to achieve outcomes
- Comprehensive product knowledge with the ability to provide and understand technical explanations
- Proven experience in a managing a large team of employees, dispute resolution and dealing with performance issues
- Strong ability to communicate (written and oral) and negotiate with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
