The Opportunity

Team Lead of Field Service Engineering Team | Advanced Defence Tech

We\'re recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing defence technology company delivering sophisticated systems to clients across defence, government, and critical infrastructure. As global operations expand, they are looking for an experienced professional to manage a team of Field Service Engineers to ensure the smooth delivery and support of complex technical systems to their growing customer base. This is a leadership role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in technical operations, field deployment, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and grow a team of Field Service Engineers
  • Oversee the planning and execution of system deployments, upgrades, and on-site support
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues during field operations
  • Implement best practice processes, safety standards, and service documentation
  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement in service delivery and customer experience

About You

  • 5+ years in a technical field-based role such as service, integration, or support engineering
  • 2+ years in a team leadership or management role
  • Understanding of electronics, RF systems or embedded hardware (nice to have, not required)
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a calm, solutions-focused approach in high-pressure settings
  • Willing to travel internationally as required
  • Eligibility for security clearance
