TMR is committed to reconciliation among all Australians.In the role of Advisor, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, execution and delivery of a comprehensive range of business support services to support individual business units. You will play a valuable role in coordinating the identification and supporting the implementation of initiatives to contribute to short and long-term organisational effectiveness in an environment of continuous change and development.Accountabilities include: - Provide advice and support for procurement related activities including preparation of procurement documentation, liaising with external parties, and assisting with tender processes in alignment with the departmental procurement business and governance framework. Support financial processes and local practices to assist the team to meet their deliverables, using software packages such as, spreadsheets, databases, SAP and 3PCM and Serko. Co-ordinate the day-to-day support activites including delegation of tasks, management of workloads to ensure optimum utilisation of human resources, systems, information, and other resources within the section. Support activities to ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations, standards, legislation and policies and report on non-compliance and implement, monitor, and report on rectification measures. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by co-ordinating the implementation of enhancements to systems and processes which contribute to long term business improvement and assist in developing appropriate business cases and project plans to ensure efficient implementation of initiatives. Actively participate in and contribute to the Business Support Team Network, including promoting a positive culture across the business and living our Values. Undertake project functions, such as, but not limited to, Safety reporting and ongoing Road Safety Auditors database maintenance. Provide support to the preparation of briefings and correspondence using Doctrak as required. Perform other tasks as directed by the Director (Safer Roads), and the Director (Road Safety Programs).This position reports to the Director (Safer Roads) and has no direct reports.
