Using your understanding and experience in compliance, investigations and implementing robust governance systems, you will:
- develop and implement governance systems for criminal investigations, debt recovery and auditing frameworks for both internal and external stakeholder audits.
- provide oversight and support to the Quality Assurance - Investigations advisor in reviewing, guiding and advising staff on investigation techniques, evidence gathering, brief of evidence compilation and preparing matters for criminal prosecution.
- support the Manager in leading, managing and overseeing criminal investigations and civil litigation debt recovery cases to ensure good decision making and governance systems are adhered to
- lead and foster a robust risk, governance and good decision-making culture
- prepare correspondence to external stakeholders to support legal undertakings on matters relating to non-compliance
- support people managers in managing team workloads and activities, provide leadership, support, regular performance coaching and feedback
- foster a co-operative working environment and promote business goals and objectives
- maintain the integrity of data, and analyse and interpret this data to assess performance, trends, evaluate business needs and develop operational business improvement strategies
- ensure compliance and develop, implement and review policies, procedures, business strategies and systems in line with legislation, standards and government policy
- pursue and project manage opportunities that contribute to the ongoing viability of the portable long service leave schemes
- establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, partners and service providers
- prepare submissions, reports and business cases to inform the General Manager and board of the current and future needs of QLeave.
This position reports to the Manager Compliance Services. This position has no direct reports and provides strategic support to Compliance Services.

- have developed strong investigations skills, including leading and managing investigations, conducting case management and ensuring the quality of briefs of evidence
- have demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining governance systems for audits (internal/external), debt recovery and/or criminal investigations
- have demonstrated experience communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, including preparing detailed reports and briefs for senior management
- have demonstrated experience in leading and undertaking project management
- have experience in strategic leadership, influencing change and supporting a compliance team
