**SFK Academy seeks energetic, versatile, creative Teaching Artists who can run Digital Illustration holiday and after school programs for diverse youth ages 9 -14.**

**Digital Illustration and Photo Editing classes focus on using Photoshop and Wacom tablets.**

**2D Animation classes focus on Toon Boom, Adobe Animate and Photoshop.**

**Position Summary**

The Instructor provides best-in-class, educational activities for children. Organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities. Assist with program events and classes as needed.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage the Day Camp of After School programs by directing activities. Responsible for working with the Manager to plan, implement and supervise the Camp Program for children
- Prepare and set up for class and transfer kids to and from programming
- Clean up and restock after each class
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, being aware of child activities at all times.

**Qualifications**
- 6+ months of teaching children ages 7 - 14 in similar programs or activities
- Ability to demonstrate and participate in the activity or skills that is being taught
- Must have experience in Graphic Design programs such as Photoshop. 2D Animation programs is a bonus
- Ability to build rapport with student
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Professional experience working in the field of computer art, design or animation.
- Ability to write new lesson plans in a tech-arts field in which you are passionate/skilled is a big plus
