Job Description

The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Braidwood.
We're looking for a friendly person who can visit an elderly client living at home in Braidwood. She has a strong Christian faith, enjoys reading the bible and spending time with her animals. Our client hopes to meet someone who also likes to read the bible, pray together and share a cuppa and chat.
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
Requirements
18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Working with Vulnerable People check
One hour per week or fortnight for 6 months or longer, between 9am-5pm.
