Our environment is fast paced and we are looking for the industry's most ambitious Airport Lounge Supervisor to join our team and deliver the best-in-class experience for both our valued guests and exceptional team.Job ScopeDirect and supervise all colleagues in all areas of the daily operations including but not limited to Lounges and food outlet in the Adelaide airport.Report to the Head of Operations covering all areas, including financial results, problems and areas for improvement across all areasJob ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the lounges and operations comply with all applicable legislation and well as industry codes of practice, from an operational level this includes areas such as WHS, staff rostering, Liquor Licensing, Health & Hygiene, Food Handling etcKeep the areas under lounge manager's supervision in a standard that is acceptable to PPL and its corporate partners, ensure that all maintenance issues and requirements are raised and corrected, or forwarded to Head of Operations for action if the repair is significant.Rostering for operational colleagues.Manage all functions and special event organization, festive seasons etc and control execution.Maintain all operational budgets in particular wage, food and beverage costs as prescribed by Head of Operations.Recruitment of appropriate junior colleagues and operational colleagues, in order to maintain PPL standards of service in conjunction with HR.
Advice to be given by Head of Operations in regards to hiring policy.Maximize staff efficiency and ensure quality of work done and ensure timely completion of jobs for clients.Monitor staff appearance, attire, conduct and work attitude and emphasize the important of team spirit.Handle client complaint and staff grievances.Responsible for any business development projects assigned by Head of Operations and Regional General Manager from time to time.Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and participate in continual improvement activities.Cooperate and work in a team towards development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the quality management system.Support and work with other divisions as a team to achieve most efficient and effective operations and results.Implement SOP's for all operational areas as directed by Head of Operations, and ensure that once developed are implemented and maintained.
Ensure that SOP improvements are documented and referred to Head of Operations for updating.Discipline and resolve conflicts or related issues between junior colleagues as required.
Disciplinary policy as per Head of Operations.Follow through and implement all directives given by the either the Head of Operations or Regional General ManagerResponsible for improvements and / or implementation of new services and operational policies as and when required.Manage and oversee the daily operations of two separate lounge locations, ensuring consistent service standards and seamless guest experiences across both venues.Develop and maintain efficient communication and coordination between the two lounges to optimize resource sharing, staff deployment, and operational efficiencies.Monitor the performance of each lounge separately, including customer feedback, financial results, staff productivity, and compliance, then generate comparative reports with actionable insights.Act promptly to resolve operational, maintenance, or customer service issues unique to either lounge, and escalate matters that require higher authority intervention.Organize training and development programs tailored to the needs of each lounge, ensuring staff across both locations receive skills development and performance coaching.Oversee compliance with WHS, food safety, liquor licensing, and hygiene standards across both lounges, conducting regular audits and staff briefings.Allocate time for regular presence at both lounges to foster leadership visibility, provide on-the-ground support, and build team morale.Job RequirementsCandidate must possess tertiary education qualification in Hospitality Management or related disciplineMinimum 5 years' relevant experience with 3 years at senior management level in hospitality industryKnowledgeable in all aspects of managing and leading services and hospitality nature of business or outlet.Excellent time management skills and able to work under pressureDetail-minded, efficient, well-planned with good business senseStrong communication and interpersonal skills with analytical mindCalm, efficient and organizedExcellent personal presentation and communication skillsAccountable and resilientFluent command in English; written and spokenCan travel to the Adelaide airportUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
