**The Role**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Leading the development of educational resources, both print and digital, in line with Press standards and organisational requirements
- Liaising with authors and consultants throughout the manuscript creation process
- Managing the preparation and development of manuscripts for handover to other teams
- Conducting market research in anticipation of new titles and to keep aware of the changing needs of the marketplace
- Participating in regular publishing and production meetings
- Attending workshops and conferences where required
- Responsibility for some new print and digital titles
- 3 or more years' experience in a publishing role, preferably from an educational publishing background but not essential
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Undergraduate degree desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- A critical eye for accuracy and visual design
- Proven track record in working to tight deadlines
- The ability to multitask and problem-solve
- Keen analytical and research skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
