Physiotherapy Educator and Researcher

La Trobe University is a leading provider of health and wellbeing education and research in Australia.

The School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses that are rigorous and attuned to meeting the needs of students.

We are seeking a physiotherapy educator with expertise in teaching and research within the Discipline of Physiotherapy.

  • Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality curricula for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physiotherapy.
  • Research: Conduct and publish high-impact research in physiotherapy relative to opportunity.
  • Service: Engage in service activities contributing to the discipline's key areas and the university's strategic goals.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Evidence of high-quality and/or high-impact research conducted and published or otherwise disseminated, relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Knowledge, expertise and skills in the discipline's key areas.

Key qualifications include:

  • PhD degree in a relevant field
  • Proven teaching and research experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
