**Skills Required**:

- Linux or other UNIX experience - general day to day use, system management, file system management, and scripting.
- DB2 or other similar enterprise grade database experience plus an understanding of how to structure tables, schemas etc.
- Database replication.
- Cognos or a high level of experience in another BI visualisation platform (Tableau, Power BI etc.).
- Junior level of experience with software development - particularly debugging and testing.

**Duties**
- Investigation of overnight ETL batch, and data replication failures. Determine steps for remediation of these issues and action.
- Actioning end-user access requests for capabilities.
- Investigation of bugs and issues reported by end-users. Analysis, remediation, and documentation of these (including root cause analysis where necessary). Implementation of change tasks (i.e. deploying new ETL jobs, Cognos report packages, working with DBA's, preparing change documentation including installation instructions).
- Collaborative and constructive peer review of other team member's work. Education and knowledge transfer both internally with other team members, and end users.
- AMPS archiving.
- DataStage 8.5 to 11.7 upgrade.
- Analysis, remediation and centralisation of interfaces, scripts, and automations running all over the platform.
- Thoroughly document (modernise / centralise) these interfaces and maintenance activities.
