Job Description Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plansAssist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and groomingProvide transportation assistance to clientsProvide respite care to clients and their familiesKeep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progressCommunicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care teamFollow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clientsAttend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as neededProvide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS systemParticipate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field Requirements A minimum of a high school or equivalentAt least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilitiesStrong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelinesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExperience with CRM software and NDIS portalsUnderstanding of health and safety regulationsAbility to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirementsBasic care and first aid skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteMaking a positive impact on people's lives: As an NDIS Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities by helping them access the support and services they need to live independently and achieve their goals.Professional development opportunities: The NDIS is a rapidly evolving field, and as a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices, and to grow your skills and knowledge.Working in a supportive and collaborative environment: The NDIS Support Worker role involves working closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including case managers, support coordinators, and service providers.
