Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within a production environment
- VA / VE Engineering. Dynamic and passionate Engineer.
- 37.5 hours per week, free on site parking, no weekend work
**Client & You**:
Large Company employs 1000+ around the world. They are expanding their Production & Manufacturing department and are looking to hire an enthusiastic Production Improvement Planner (Production or Maintenance Planning experience) to support the division.
Liaising with Management you will coordinate, and plan the production activities for work performed on the shop floor (manufacturing site). Your main duties will be to effectively execute the production manufacturing plan for the department.
**Daily Responsibilities**:
- Be a key member of the Production & Manufacturing team, providing technical scheduling and support with a** **focus on capacity planning, optimizing production workflow - lean manufacturing, kaizen, 5S initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement within the department.
- Help create a more robust and efficient workplace in this already lean environment.
- Provide and offer guidance across both mechanical and electrical maintenance plans.
- Provide efficient planing.
- Utilise and learn their Computerized Management System.
- Work collaboratively with teams to produce SAP reports - equipment orders, stock transfers, and updates.
- Optimising production workflow.
- Work closely with management to develop the TPM, improving production and quality systems to reduce maintenance costs.
- Preparation of achievable (occasional) maintenance downtime & shut down schedules.
- Advise management and keep them up to date on project status.
**You**:
The position would suit a time-served planner or a graduate with 5 years of similar experience within an engineering production/manufacturing environment. You will be passionate about continuous improvement and lean manufacturing as well as change management, quality engineering, and plant maintenance
