Trainee Junior Legal Assistant/Junior Legal Assistant

What are we looking for?

**Class Actions team | Full Time Fixed Term 12-month contract | Melbourne**

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a positive, energetic and highly motivated Trainee Junior Legal Assistant or Junior Legal Assistant to join our Class Actions team in the Melbourne office. This exciting role will be responsible for providing administrative support to a busy team of Lawyers and support staff. This is a full-time Fixed term 12-month contract.

During a typical day as a Trainee/Junior Legal Assistant, you can expect to be doing the following:

- File management
- Arranging appointments and diary management
- Corresponding with clients
- Preparation of legal correspondence and court documents
- All other administrative tasks (photocopying, archiving files, billing).

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role ideally you will had experience working in an administration, medical or legal role and you may have completed a Business Administration (or similar) certificate or diploma.

It would be great if you had experience in the following:

- Experience in legal administration or a customer service facing role
- Organised and proactive with a high attention to detail
- Ability to confidently multi-task and prioritise
- A willingness and motivation to learn and develop in legal administration
- An understanding of Microsoft Office and an ability to pick up new software packages quickly
- A genuine passion and desire to work in a Plaintiff Law environment
- Are independently motivated and shows initiative
- Working in a fast-paced environment
- Open communication and approachable with others
