OverviewAustal Henderson, Western Australia, AustraliaThe OpportunityThe Warehousing and Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement across the function.What's InvolvedLead and support a high-performing warehousing and logistics teamEnsure a safe, secure, and compliant working environmentDevelop and enforce clear policies, procedures, and documented practicesMaintain team capability through training, development, and succession planningOversee all warehousing functions including receipt, storage, distribution, and equipment maintenanceEnsure goods are processed, inspected, and recorded accurately and in a timely mannerDeliver excellent customer service through timely order fulfilment and clear communicationIdentify and lead continuous improvement initiatives while managing operational risksOperate a Just-In-Time Warehouse Management SystemYou'll need7+ years relevant Supply Chain, Warehousing and logistics experience within a shipbuilding/sustainment, engineering, manufacturing or Defence organisationStrong understanding and working experience in a computerised ERP environmentStrong leader and coach, with excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skillsStrong customer focusForklift LicenseWhy AustalCompetitive compensation and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A supportive and dynamic work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within our growing organisation.At Austal we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment for all.
