**About the role**

Omron Electronics is a dynamic, multinational company, specialising in Industrial Automation.

We seek a conscientious, detailed, and self-motivated individual for the role of Purchasing Officer. The role involves ensuring the company's purchasing of stock is accurate and delivery occurs in a timely manner.

**To fulfill the task the following duties will need to be adhered to**:

- Monitoring our Supply base quotes, purchases, and deliveries to obtain lead times
- Generate purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Review and interpret sales performance trends, in order to obtain accurate forecasts using the Forecasting and BI tool
- Review stock levels and work with the marketing and sales team in order to reduce overstocked items
- Review customer's back-order reports and prioritize back-ordered item's arrival
- Ensuring all orders and inbound receipts are processed accurately and on time to meet business and customer KPIs
- Reporting to Management the status of deliveries and related issues
- Provide price and availability on request
- Assisting product manager with reviewing and monitoring stock levels to ensure uninterrupted stock replenishment
- Entering data into order portals and customer relationship management systems
- Review and analyses inventory requirements
- Following up on outstanding purchasing orders from vendors
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement, streamlining, and review of processes & procedures
- Ad-hoc reporting tasks instructed by the direct manager

**Requirements**:

- An eye for detail and being able effectively to communicate with foreign offices
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to priorities
- A genuine interest in the electrical components Industry
- Computer literacy involves the proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel)
- Ability to work proactively and with a high degree of accuracy
- A strong efficient team player with the willingness to be hands-on when required
- Strong administrative skills organized and good attention to detail
- Experience in the role is an advantage but not essential as you will be trained in the role
- Punctual and reliable
