We are looking for a highly motivated individual that has been working in the legal, accounting or finance industry with experience in the mergers and acquisition process.

**Client Executive, Mergers & Acquisitions and Transaction Solutions**

We are seeking a Client Executive to join our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Transaction Solutions team within Aon Risk Solutions. This is a parental leave cover for 12 months with flexible hybrid working arrangements based in Sydney.

Aon's M&A and Transaction Solutions practice specialises in the provision of transaction liability insurance and transaction risk advisory services to the M&A community including Private Equity, Law Firms, Fund Managers, Investment Banks, Financiers, Large Private and top ASX listed businesses.

Working as part of a high-performing team, you will be engaging directly with clients in the M&A community. You'll be committed to providing the highest level of service and integrity in this varied role, which will find you managing significant M&A projects, reading and checking sale and purchase agreements, negotiating policy terms, and producing reports.

In return, you will be mentored from an experienced leader who will ensure you transition successfully into Aon and the insurance industry. The M&A and Transactional Solutions team pride themselves on being market-leaders, committed to providing a gold-class standard of service to its clients, and you will be utilising your experience and knowledge to contribute to the strategic direction of the division.

**What the day will look like**
- Leading clients through the process of transferring their transactional liability risk, managing relationships up to C-suite executives
- Pro-actively establishing new relationships to develop income opportunities
- Identifying and bringing on-line new projects within the current client portfolio
- Building/ maintaining a network of relationships within the insurance market
- Liaising with underwriters and internal stakeholder to deliver optimised go-to-market strategies
- Drafting, proof-reading and producing high quality reports

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- A law/commerce degree and legal/finance/accounting background with a substantial focus on M&A
- Experience working in a professional services or law firm
- Experience with corporate taxation would be highly valued but is not required
- Outstanding client management capabilities, which includes attracting, retaining and growing clients
- A keen entrepreneurial spirit and flare for business development
- Analytical abilities and experience drafting proposals and documentation
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to take ownership and accountability for development and execution of projects and relationships
- Willingness to learn and adapt in fast paced environment
