About You
We are looking for T Repair Electricians to work in our Electra office. These are permanent roles that report to the T Project Manager.
You will work closely with other Service Technicians, Mechanical Fitters, Installers, Adjusters, Trade Assistants, Field Engineers, and Service Coordinators.
A T Repair Electrician works on various sites within the location/region in which they are employed. Often moving locations daily/weekly and working alone or in small teams to install or modernize elevators and escalators.

Key Responsibilities- Running electrical cables within the lift shaft, including general troubleshooting- Wiring a lift shaft and lift car and installing car doors- Connecting motors and controllers and roping the lift- Follow the field installation manual instructions and communicate clearly with team members, managers, site managers, and other contractors- Responsible for complying with company Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures, including reporting any conditions which may impact the environment or any employee.- Maintain and adhere to the Quality System, including procedures and manuals.- Identify improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy your customers.- Ensures work is performed according to the relevant Codes, including SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000.- Completes time sheets in a timely manner each week.
What You Will Need to Be Successful- Electrical or Trade qualifications relevant to the role and experience working on a construction site is preferred.- Minimum two (2) to five (5) years' experience within the lift Industry. Working at heights is needed.- Extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge across large equipment and the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.- Demonstrated problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair issues with lifts- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.- Able to communicate with clients, supervisors, and fellow technicians clearly and work well in a team or autonomously.- Highly organized, structured, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.- Attention to detail and results-driven.- If you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.
