**The role**:
The Enterprise Records Officer is responsible for supporting the Enterprise Records Manager in providing quality records management by preparing, maintaining, storing and tracking physical and electronic records, including the appraisal and retrieval of archives and the disposal of records in accordance with regulatory, organisational and operational South East Water (SEW) requirements.
This maximum term role until 30 June 2026 is a part of the Enterprise Data Governance and Management Team and will have the opportunity to support the delivery of the broader program of work that relates to SEW data and information management and governance. This role is key to achieving a key component of managing SEW's records to drive Trust, Security, & Compliance.
Key accountabilities for the role will include, but are not limited to;
- Arranging authorisation and disposal of records identified for destruction under the relevant RDA
- Assisting with the maintenance of the Records Management System - Content Server and SharePoint
- Documenting procedures and systems to enable efficient tracking of records and the retrieval of information
- Maintaining and supporting relevant policies and procedures to ensure accurate information, compliance and accessibility across the information lifecycle, while supporting all staff with their recordkeeping responsibilities.
- Contributing to SEW retention and disposal programs and activities
- Assisting with project related tasks that support the Records Management function
**Who are you?**:
- A working knowledge of information and records management, including information governance, knowledge management and relevant legislation.
- Experience in large government organisation/s with comprehensive understanding and implementation of PRO(V) Standards and RDAs.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the appraisal, sentencing, and disposal of records within a Records Management System, preferably Content Server.
- Experience in working with both physical and electronic records.
- Proven communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in an agile and proactive environment, demonstrating systems thinking, attention to detail and excellent problem solving-skills.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, preferably in information management or records management are highly regarded.
