The opportunity:
Delaware North Australia is looking for passionate and dedicated **Commis Chefs** and **Kitchen Stewards** to join our team on a **casual** basis at **Parklands Café, Blacktown**. If you enjoy working in a supportive kitchen environment and being part of a great team, we'd love to hear from you

What you will do?:
**Commis Chef**:

- Assist in food preparation and cooking to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in presentation and portion control.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with stock rotation and kitchen inventory management.
- Support the Head Chef and kitchen team as needed.

**Kitchen Steward**:

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Assist with waste management and disposal.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when required.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health standards.

More about you:
**Commis Chef**:

- Experience as a Commis Chef.
- Minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification.
- Solid background in kitchen operations.
- A passion for food and creative flair.
- Comfortable and skilled to be left alone in a kitchen.
- Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labor costs.
- Flexible with shifts, available to work mornings, days, and nights, including weekends.

**Kitchen Steward**:

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward/Attendant is desirable.
- Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain during onboarding.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible with shifts, available to work mornings, days, and nights, including weekends.
