As a Regional Operations Leader based at Dry Creek in Adelaide, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of Aurizon's rail services.
Leading a frontline team, you'll be responsible for managing daily yard and traincrew operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of safe, reliable and cost-effective train services to our customers.Key responsibilities include:Championing a proactive safety culture, aligned to our "I know SAFE, I choose SAFE" commitmentManaging allocated yard and traincrew operations to meet service demandsImplementing improvement initiatives to reduce asset cycle times and enhance train payloadsEnsuring effective crew levels to support scheduling and rosteringBuilding and maintaining positive working relationships with your team, including setting and monitoring performance and behavioural standardsLeading incident investigations and driving safety outcomesMonitoring and reviewing locomotive download data to ensure optimal driving practiceAbout you:You're a confident and safety-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and is motivated to deliver high-quality results through people.You will also bring:Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management (preferred)Strong safety leadership skills and knowledge, including experience with incident investigations (ICAM preferred)Demonstrated experience in leading teams, assigning tasks, and solving problems in operational settingsThe ability to engage, coach and motivate team members while setting clear directionA sound understanding (or the ability to acquire knowledge) of train handling, provisioning procedures, network route knowledge, safe working systems and crew deploymentStrong stakeholder management skills and commercial awarenessWhat we offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
