**About the Role**
This is an opportunity to build a sense of community and connection between Australian grain farmers and GrainGrowers' to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the Australian grains industry.
In this role, you will plan, oversee, and lead a range of events from ideation through to delivery, that seek to connect members and non-members, plus enhance the profile of the organisation in support of its mission. You will also manage grower programs and activities that align with GrainGrowers' strategy and objectives to enhance and support grower engagement.
Events include both in-person and virtual events including Innovation Generation, Grains Innovation Tour, AGM/Grains Dinner, national workshops, programs, and webinars.
**About You**
You will be an experienced, proactive, and innovative Events & Program Manager, with the ability to cultivate a high-performance events function. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the agricultural industry. You will have strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Experience or an interest in the agriculture or grain industry is desirable.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Develop, manage, and deliver events, programs, and national activities, aligned with strategic goals.
- Manage the events team and cultivate a high-performing culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors and partners.
- Manage and deliver grower programs, including with alumni cohorts.
- Manage sponsorship, partnerships, and government grant funding.
- Engage and oversee event contractors and third parties.
- Provide events support to the Grower Engagement team for regional grower activities.
- Manage the events budget and conduct reporting and analysis.
- Identify potential new event and program opportunities.
**To be successful you will have**:
- Experienced events, program, or project manager & effective team management skills.
- Tertiary qualification in event management or business, or relevant professional experience preferred.
- Experience organising events & programs to enhance target audience engagement and meet project goals.
- Highly self-motivated with a drive to meet goals in a collaborative & dynamic environment.
- Ability to build and sustain key relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor & report on budgets & project management metrics.
- Proficient in managing sponsorship deliverables & negotiating contracts.
- Problem-solving & decision-making skills & negotiation ability.
- Strong work ethic, initiative & excellent attention to detail.
