Join City of Moreton Bay's Waste Services department as Coordinator Waste Planning and Compliance, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As the Coordinator Waste Planning and Compliance you'll provide high level **professional and technical advice** and support to senior level executives and stakeholders. You will collaborate in the **development and coordinate the delivery of Waste Management strategies** and associated plans. You'll also:

- **Drive Council's target to reduce domestic solid waste disposed to landfill** in line with Council's Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan.
- Drive the **delivery of the Waste Education and Community Engagement Plan** and related programs.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with Council's Corporate policies and procedures and regulatory requirements for Waste Services.
- **Manage multidisciplinary teams** and provide technical advice and guidance.
- Demonstrate and promote a high level of prioritisation and time management skills, to ensure effective and efficient delivery of assigned tasks.
- Lead the Technical and Compliance Team, Environmental Team, Education and Behaviour Change Team, Administration Team and University Students.
- Manage a range of waste compliance and audit activities across council's Waste Services.
- Build high level, effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop relevant business cases in support of improved waste management, resource recovery and operational efficiency of Waste Services.
- Ensure best practice industry advancements are explored to the benefit of Council's waste and resource recovery objectives.
- Make decisions on project priorities and resource allocation.
- Prepare and monitor Waste Planning and Compliance budgets and assist with ensuring Waste Services budgets are managed in line with the agreed deliverables.

**About you**

We're looking for an experienced, senior waste industry professional, specifically focused on end to end planning, compliance and delivery of waste management services, delivery of waste strategies and plans, and leading a multidisciplinary team through a changing, complex environment. You'll also bring:

- Demonstrated expertise in waste governance and risk management practices.
- High level of prioritisation and time management skills.
- Active contribution to fostering a healthy, inclusive and well-connected workplace.
- Leadership of self and others through change in a large complex organisation.
- Applied knowledge of sound financial practices within a legislative environment.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification and significant experience in contemporary waste management required.
- Current C class driver's licence required.
- Current Construction Induction Card (or willing to obtain at own cost).
