About the position Our Wests Nelson Bay site is currently seeking a casual Bistro Server / Food Court Waitperson to join the team.
This casual opportunity is responsible for front-of-house catering operations across our food outlets and will assist with functions and events across the property.
Providing outstanding customer service, daily activities will include: Providing friendly and efficient service to members and guests Assisting with clearing and cleaning of tables Operating and balancing of tills Assisting with food preparation Barista duties Ensuring hygiene and safe food handling practices are followed This position requires availability to work on Friday nights, weekends, and during the week.
Our seasonal peaks occur during summer, public holidays, and school holidays; availability during these peaks is essential.
As part of The Wests Group recruitment process, all candidates progressing will be required to complete relevant due diligence and probity checks, including a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and right-to-work verification via our company portal.
All associated checks and costs will be facilitated by The Wests Group.
About you You are someone who can work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in a café or fast-food environment.
Along with good work ethics, you will have the ability to work in a team and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Your customer service skills and problem-solving abilities will help you thrive in this position.
