The City of Ballarat is looking for Customer Service Officers to support the rollout of the incoming Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) and Glass kerbside recycling services to residents.

**The Role**:
The role supports the Waste and Environment team by responding to customers' kerbside waste and recycling services related requests via a range of channels including phone, electronic and face-to-face.

**About You**:
You will be a positive, dedicated, and professional individual with a passion for providing great customer experiences.

Most importantly, you will have a strong sense community and a passion for supporting all customers of the City of Ballarat.

**Key Selection Crietria**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practice of customer service and/or call centre environments
- Demonstrated ability to display empathic listening skills and a high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Ability to speak multiple languages is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the City of Ballarat's incoming FOGO and Glass kerbside services, and sound level of competence in the operation of Windows-based programs and other relevant systems
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area
