**The opportunity we have available**:
The section also provides governance support to two National Collecting Institutions - the National Library of Australia (NLA) and the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA). As part of this, the section also contributes to the oversight and assessment of Community Heritage Grants which are administered by the NLA.

**What will you do?**

You will be required to perform duties in accordance with the APS Values and Code of Conduct. The workload is dynamic and interesting and will involve:

- Providing secretariat support to the National Cultural Heritage Committee, including drafting minutes and papers, assisting with committee and expert examiner remuneration, recruitment, travel and reporting.
- Undertaking research and responding to internal and external information requests, including gathering and analysing data, collating information, preparing reports, managing SmartyGrants processes and preparing ministerial briefs and other correspondence
- Performing other tasks as required, including administrative support in relation to the protection of foreign cultural material, assisting with governance support of National Cultural Institutions, and/or supporting the implementation and delivery of policies and programs announced in Revive.

**Who are we looking for?**

Communications - well-developed written and oral communication skills, analytical and research skills, and the ability to draft informative, accurate, timely briefs, reports and correspondence for a range of audiences
Stakeholders - experience in internal and external stakeholder management, managing relationships across a range of stakeholders

Flexibility - a flexible approach to problem solving, working with a level of independence under limited supervision
Teams and customers - exhibit behaviours that contribute to teamwork and focus on customer service (including with the general public).

Experience administering grants programs and working with regulatory frameworks is not essential but would be an advantage.

- Think strategically, evaluating complex information from a variety of sources to make connections and prepare sound advice by exercising good judgement.
