**About the role**
This role is responsible for the leadership and development of a Strategic Account Management team in all matters related to account management, customer relationship management and Mining & Resources growth in Western Australia.
You will be responsible for actively leading Team Global Express's strategic account management team, within Western Australia. The team will comprise Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) each with bespoke customer portfolios, a Business Development Manager focused on the Mning & Resources sector, with the team supported by Customer Success Partners (CSPs). The overarching goal is to maximise TGE's profile, share of wallet and ultimately build customer loyalty such that retention and expansion is optimised. This is a key leadership role guiding the Strategic Account Management team in support of some of TGE's highest profile customers in the region, with a heavy focus on the Mining and Resources sector. These are large matrix customers, with large network footprints, multiple service formats and decision-making structures, requiring active customer relationship forming & building in order to position TGE as a trusted advisor.
You will form part of the Western Australian Sales leadership team reporting to the Head of Sales
- Western Australia. You will be responsible for developing, expanding, and solidifying long-term relationships with each customer that enable key business retention and expansion across the customer footprint.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Establish business strategies and customer account plans to deliver growth within your assigned customer portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to develop TGE's service platform to your customer base, inclusive of general logistics provisions, property, network, technologies, and other value-added offerings.
- Undertake strategic review of the existing customer base, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise value for TGE and its customers.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities whilst considering operational balance needs of the business unit.
- Develop programs to enhance customer satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement, partnership integration and service evolution.
- Build development plans, inclusive of both 'retain' and 'grow' expertise within key geographies.
- Equip, organise, and staff the function at all times to meet the general demands of the marketplace, those of specific clients along with the set functional objectives. Provide support to operational functions, such that TGE's service commitment to WA Strategic Customers is being executed in accordance to customer expectations, while meeting safety and commercial obligations
**About you**:

You are a strong negotiator and have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills allowing you to adapt and overcome resistance to reach goals. Your effective problem-solving along with your strong leadership skills and ability to strategically plan will see you thrive in this role.
