
Pr & Events Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for:
1. PR and Comms
- _Manage all media liaison_
- _Manage proactive and reactive media relations by building strategic relationships across key media, journalist, and industry groups _
- _Develop our media relations strategy and secure regular placements in top tier media outlets_
- _Craft press briefing docs, press packs and develop and pitch stories to earn coverage across the trade, business, and national media_
- _Conduct media training and prepare key spokespeople_
- _Manage media inquiries and interview requests._
- _Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results_
2. Events
- _Identify, communicate, prepare, and host events for OMG_
- _Identify, communicate, and prepare events for our sales team to attend_
- _Sponsorship and expo coordination_
- _Travel and accommodation booking and management_
- _Event reporting_
3. Awards
- _Strategically identify awards that OMG should enter_
- _Build out and prepare an awards calendar_
- _Fill out award documents with the help of Stakeholders if needed_
- _Aim to win several awards per year_
4. Reporting
- _Have good knowledge of tracking best practices to report correctly_
- _Be able to report on budgets spent and targets to date for channels worked on_
- _Work closely with the Hubspot team to create reporting dashboards that give all the metrics needed for channels worked on_
5. Risk Management
- _Responsible for the identification and management of risk in day-to-day responsibilities_
- _Comply with OMG policies and procedures including completing mandatory training within the required timeframes_
- _Role model positive risk behaviours and contribute towards a strong risk culture at OMG_
6. Success Criteria

**Requirements**:
- _Bachelor's degree in PR, Comms or Journalism or have relevant experience_
- _Minimum 5yrs of experience in PR and improving sentiment_
- _Experience of both Agency and Client side an advantage_
- _Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs_
- _Proven experience, 5yrs in PR, Comms and Events management_
- _Existing media connections_
- _Ability to track sentiment, event and award outcomes_
- _Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence_
- _Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work_
- _Attention to detail and problem-solving skills_
- _Excellent written and verbal communication skills_
- _Strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment_
- _A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements_
