GenesisCare is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Patient Services Officer (Medical Receptionist) to join our wonderful team in our clinic in Nedlands.
This is a part time opportunity working 3 days a week through to January 2026.In this position, you will play a critical role in our patient's cancer journey, being their first point of contact.
This is a fast-paced role working across various workstations where priorities can quickly change, your ability to respond in an efficient, helpful and empathetic manner is essential.If you are committed to providing quality administrative support and want to work in a meaningful role, then please apply to join our team.
See below for further details on this role and what we can offer you.More specifically, you will:Work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role where patient focus remains the top priority.Act as the first point of contact to patients and provide excellent customer service both face to face and over the phone.Adapt to and manage an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities.Book and confirm patients for appointments and consultations.Billing and Receipting at time of appointment.Accurately process relevant paperwork including data entry.Ensure the smooth running of the clinic.Continuously liaise with the team to ensure efficient processes.Manage patient records and filing of patient notes.We're interested in hearing from people who:Demonstrate ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service.Have strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.Show proven experience to work successfully both independently and in a team environment.Possess knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms would be highly valued.Have exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries.High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Are flexible with their approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.Benefits of joining our team:Established, close-knit team, and thriving culture.Fast-paced, challenging role with one of the most influential healthcare providers.Supportive environment where you can develop with excellent management.Great work/life balance, no late shifts or weekend workInternal and external training and development opportunities.Uniform provided following probationary period.Elevated casual rateAbout GenesisCareBy joining GenesisCare, you will be joining a highly progressive and passionate team of healthcare professionals and support staff, united by a common purpose: to design care experiences that deliver the best possible life outcomes.
